Ellisdon’s Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment Logo Design

A commission to design the logo and team swags for Ellisdon’s Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment project. The redevelopment is one of the largest government funded capital healthcare projects in British Columbia's history, spanning from 2019 to 2025 with a budget of $835 million. The task was to build a visual identity highlighting the main architectural feature, the “W”, an iconic regional symbol for the city of New Westminster. The new logomark must also live in harmony within the existing Ellisdon brand. One additional request at the early stage of design was to incorporate the Ellisdon logo into the new logomark. So the challenge eventually became finding a visual solution to showcase “W”, “Ellisdon,” and “RCH” simultaneously. Challenge accepted!
